Shannon Gainey

Shannon has served Monte Vista's Instrumental Music Program as a bassoon and clarinet player. Throughout her four years she has continuously participated in the Marching Band, Symphonic band, Wind Ensemble and Full Orchestra. She has been honored as a member of the 2011 Contra County Honor Band. In 2010, she was awarded the Instrumentalist Magazine Musicianship Award. In the fall she plans to pursue music as part of the Spirit of the West Marching Band at Montana State University at Bozeman, where she will work towards a Mechanical Engineering Degree. When not playing, she is a girl scout and a sixth year Program Aide at Diablo Day Camp. In what little free time she enjoys reading, writing, roller blading, programming, and table top gaming.

Shannon has graduated from MV and currently attends the University of Montana as a member of the Class of 2017.
