Music has been a part of Olivia's life since age four, when her parents had her take piano lessons. Though she used to dislike piano, she now holds it close to her heart as a form of artistic expression.
When Olivia saw the Diablo Vista Middle School Jazz Band as an elementary school student, she fell in love with jazz music and immediately knew she wanted to play the alto saxophone. Olivia is currently the first alto in Jazz Band A. Although her primary instruments are piano and saxophone, she has attempted and is still attempting to learn the clarinet, flute, and ukelele. She'll tell you how that goes.
In addition to music, Olivia enjoys participating in other art forms such as photography, graphic design, and writing. She also dedicates a large portion of time to her Christian youth fellowship, Oasis, at which she is a servant leader and a worship leader.
Olivia will graduate in the class of 2017.
