Ever since learning how to play the recorder in third grade, Amanda knew that she wanted music to be a part of her life. A year later, she joined her elementary school band at Tassajara Hills, choosing to play the clarinet. Amanda continued her love for music at Diablo Vista Middle School, where she played in the sixth grade band and symphonic band.
Amanda currently plays clarinet in the Monte Vista Wind Ensemble. She also participates in a volunteer group called "Songs for Society" that performs at local senior centers.
In addition to instrumental music, Amanda is a competitive year-round swimmer for the Pleasanton Seahawks. She has been involved in the sport since she was eight years old and also swims for the Monte Vista team.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and cat. It is not unlikely to find her eagerly planning out her next trip to Disneyland.
Amanda graduated in the class of 2018.
