MILITARY HONOR PLATES

  The CO DMV offers “Qualified Exempt Military License Plates” for several categories of veterans - those who have earned the AF Cross, Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, etc.  This means the applicant may be issued one plate exempt from ownership taxes and registration fees (sales/use tax not exempt).  You can find more info, and application forms at https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/sites/default/files/DR2002_1.pdf
