"At the time I wrote this song I was performing in a duo playing in Legions and such where the drinkers loved to dance. We needed a ¾ waltz type song for them to dance cheek to cheek. So I provided them with this song. Funny, the dancin’ couples didn't believe I wrote it. Duhh…"
