The Flipped Classroom model flips the traditional relationship between class time and homework. Students learn at home by accessing online content, and class time is reserved for application of knowledge, remediation/enrichment, guided practice, and project-based learning.

One common frustration many teachers voice is that there's never enough time to meaningfully cover all the curriculum, and allow students the opportunity to creatively practice and apply skills before assessing. You'll notice that the flipped model addresses this need because it allows face-to-face class time to be devoted to student application of knowledge with teacher supervision and feedback.
