A common issued raised by teachers with regard to student's evaluation of teaching performance is "how can students evaluate their teachers, for instance, in mastery of subject matter when the students themselves have no mastery of subject matter?"
Student ratings are not the only indicator of effective education, but gathering student feedback can help enhance the quality of teacher education. Student ratings can be used to improve classroom methods as well as the course's content and structure. In order for student to master the subject matter the teacher need to reteach the lesson but trying another strategy for students to easily gets and understand the lessons.
What is meant by reflective self-assessment by using learner assessment data and other reflection aids?
Reflective self-assessment by using learner assessment data and other reflection means teachers are using the learner assessment and other reflection aids to stimulate strategic lesson that will meet the student diverse need. And, it let the teacher what she/he should reteach if the students did not understand some lesson. It also let student engage with their own assessment and provides time for students to absorb what they learned and to engage with thinking about how they have learned.
