Date of visit: 1st March 2017
The Croydon Aviation Heritage Centre is committed to retain the legacy of the golden era of aviation by the preservation, maintenance and operation of early historical aircraft mostly from the 1920s and 30s. It is home to a large collection of de Havilland aircraft and nearly all of the aircraft on display are airworthy. Many of the aircraft have been restored, and are maintained, by the Croydon Aircraft Company based behind the museum. Most of the work carried out there is to original specifications, and materials used are the same or as close as possible to those used in the 1930’s.
The museum is live, so exhibits could change within the hangar.
