Date of visit: 10th November 2017
Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport is a unique building which houses the Flying Bulls aircraft and a collection of Formula 1 cars. Opened on 22/08/2003, the hangar has 2 bars, a restaurant, a cafe, an outdoor lounge and space for art exhibitions. It's principal design was based on the construction of a self-supporting shell around Red Bull's largest aircraft, their DC-6B. The 64,300 m3 of space used 1754 pieces of variously sized glass panes, some of them curved, weighing 380 tons.
