The purpose of a Public Service Announcement is to generate awareness, express the dangers, or create a shift in public opinion about important topics such as bullying, the environment, smoking, and domestic violence, just to name a few.
These posters or ads are usually visually driven, using strong images to convey a certain position or evoke the viewer's emotions.
Along with imagery, strong statements often accompany the visuals to further convince the viewer of a specific point of view.
