Me So Hungry! When thinking of a food truck name - something quick, witty and memorable are the keys to success! Consider a theme, like cowboys or the pink monster on the truck below. Create a truck name that is fun and something your customers will remember.

Next, think about what type of food you would like to serve. Expand your ideas and do not think about just local cuisine. Your food truck could sell any type of food, from anywhere in the world. Research countries other than the United States for food ideas. Now, don't get me wrong, if you want to design an All-American burger truck, that would be okay. (Hint: Try to focus on a particular food item to create a name and theme around. ( For example, tacos, burgers, grilled cheese sandwich, soup, ice cream, etc. )

Assignment Part 1: Creating Your TYPE LOGO

A) Using DAFONT.COM download 4 fonts that you think you can use for your food truck's name logo.

B) In Adobe Illustrator, type out your truck name using the downloaded fonts. You can mix and match fonts. For example, if your truck name contains two words, consider one font for one word and another font for the other. Or, if your truck name only contains one word, use more than one font for the word.

When we talk about branding, we are specifically identifying important company information such as - Your logo, the 2 or 3 colors that will represent you, the font or typeface that best works with your name and logo, the type of atmosphere you would like your truck to inspire, and most importantly, the type of people who you believe will most appreciate your food.

Assignment Part 2: Designing a Graphic Logo

A) Using Illustrator and all the of the software tools, you will create a Graphic Logo. A graphic logo could be something like a cartoon character, an object that in some way relates to the food, the food truck itself, or an abstract object - like the PEPSI Globe or NIKE Swoosh. It could also be something that creates a logo out of the name like GOOGLE or ebay.

B) Design AT LEAST 2 Different graphic logos to choose from. When creating this logo, also decide on colors. Your logo must have at least 2.
