Muthulakshmi Nagar Aasthiga Samajam was founded in Aug 1991 with the avowed objective of Preserving and Nurturing the Hindu Cultural & Spiritual Heritage that is linked with Bhakthi.

Where else than in the presence of God, can Bhakthi emanate?.

How else than performing Sadhana-spiritual activities- can Bhakthi be accentuated?

So the natural course for the Samajam was to embark on construction of a temple to fulfill the above objectives and this is how the Sri Vallabha Ganapathy & Sri Veera Anjaneyar temple came into being.

Sri Ganapathy connoting auspicious beginning and Sri Anjaneyar connoting successful completion glorify the temple as presiding deities and shower their Grace on thronging Devotees.

The Kumbabhishekam was performed in Sep 1992 to complete the consecration of the temple.

With the support from the generally philonthrophic and pious local residents & other devotees and by the Grace of Sri Vallabha Ganapathy and Sri Veera Anjaneyar, a Mandapam was constructed. The mandapam since then has hosted a number of spiritual and cultural events like Homams, Carnatic Music and Dance concerts.

Moulded idols of Lord Sankara Narayana and Lord Aadhyantha Prabhu adoring the temple signify our belief in treating Saivam and Vaishnavam as two eyes of Sanathana Dharma...!
