Laziness

I was most inspired by Hendrik Scheeres' post about lazy robots. Artificial Creatures such as robots or automata are always created with purpose: to clean, to entertain, to inspire, et cetera. Where humans have 'intrinsic motivation' to move, to make art, to learn, artificial creatures do so because they have been programmed to do so. This contrast is fascinating to me: 'lazy robot' is essentially an oxymoron.
