TASK 1: TO ELABORATE A SLIDE PRESENTATION AND TO SHOW IT IN CLASS.

TO START:

THE TEACHER EXPLAINS US THE TASK (FINAL RESULT) AND THE ACTIVITIES THAT WE HAVE TO DO USING AN INDEX OR A SCRIPT.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO THIS TASK?

1. GOOGLE DRIVE

3. POWER POINT, which appears in Windows Microsoft Office. It can be downloaded free, too.

-A computer with access to Internet, a screen and a projector.

-A camera or a mobile-phone, if you want to record the oral expositions of your classmates.

LET’S LOOK INTO THE MATTER

Questions you have to look for information to do your investigation


  • What is a civil war?
  • What were the causes of the Spanish Civil war?
  • How many years did the Spanish Civil war last?
  • Who were fighting in this dispute?
  • In each side , what political parties could be found ?
  • What side won this war?
  • Look for some Spanish Civil war photos. Write a footnote below.
  • Look for the flag of each side. Look for some propaganda poster of each side. Write a comment or insert a footnote below
  • Look for significant anthems of each side.
  • Look for a map where it is possible to notice the war development.
  • What was the women’s role during the war?.
  • The civil population attacks and evacuation
  • When and what countries did many Spaniards exile to between 1936-1940? What Latin America countries to?, What ideology did these people have?
  • What were the consequences of the Spanish civil war?

ACTIVITY 1: LOOK FOR INFORMATION ON THE NET AND COLLECT IT IN NOTES.

To answer these questions you are going to seek for information in several Internet sources, then, you will elaborate a slide presentation which will assist you to explain to your classmates what you have learnt.

ACTIVITY 2: TO LOOK FOR A VIDEO FOR THE PRESENTATION

Later, you are going to go to YOUTUBE and look for a video about some of the questions that appear and next you will insert it in your presentation. Do the search in pairs and, you will discuss about the most suitable video/s.

If you dare, you can create your own video with PHOTOPEACH. With the tutorial you have below you can create a video with your images, comments and the music you like most.


ACTIVITY 3: A STOPOVER: WE WRITE IN OUR LEARNING DIARY.

TO THINK OVER.

You are going to do a stopover to think over about what you are learning, how you are learning it and if you need any help to solve a specific topic or to learn it in a more efficient way. Thus, you have the Learning Diary, a tool that is going to help you to self-evaluate your learning process. It is convenient that you answer all the questions of your diary in an individual way.

This Learning Diary can be checked whenever the teacher or you consider it appropriate.

Now with all the written and graphical information you have gathered, you are going to elaborate a presentation in slides. Before beginning your work, you can follow these recommendations. Your presentations can be done in Power Point or in another program. Choose the design of the slide, font, colours...

ACTIVITY 5: ORAL PRESENTATION

Once the presentation has been elaborated, you will share the slides out you are going to explain to your classmates. During a class you will rehearse how to do it. Below you have a few guidelines of how to do your presentation.
