I work at an automobile detailing company, and the process can be strangely aesthetic. It would be challenging to get good angels inside the cars, but there's plenty of movement and lighting to create an interesting film. This is my preferred choice, so far.
This one is actually just really good timing. Hailey's Comet is set to collide with Earth later this evening, and I'm in a fantastic location to record it. I'll admit the shot-list is nonexistent and I have no idea how to frame it, but I'll see what I can film!
I have a new puppy going through agility training(poorly), so I thought a blooper reel would be a fun project. Kind of like an "there's always a class clown" advertisement for training classes. There's a lot of possibilities for framing/movement/lighting.
"Everyone always acts like detailing is so hard... all you have to do is-"
*sounds of detailing, matched to the video*
"and then you just-"
*exterior cleaning sounds*
*back the car in*
"-and that's it."
*me, covered in oil/water/honestly I don't even know what that gunk they had on their back seat was, throwing in the towel*

This idea began at work, where an endless amount of questionable substances can be found. I actually had the most trouble with positioning and stabilizing the camera in such a confined space, as the location itself provided more than enough rhythm, movement and a variety of lighting sources. I focused on the light sources and framing- the two filmed transitions are my favorite aspect of this project. Enjoy a rough draft of my detailing commercial!
