Football, or as the Americans call it, “soccer,” is Alexander Sabadash’s favorite sport of all-time. According to him, there’s no bigger sport in the world than soccer, whose popularity crosses all boundaries and unites billions of people everywhere. Every four years, fans experience the World Cup, which is the biggest sporting event in the world in terms of viewership. Every year, billions more follow the biggest leagues across the globe.

For today’s blog, Alexander Sabadash reviews three of the biggest leagues in the world.

English Premier League

The English Premier League or EPL is the top league in the U.K., and the world. For decades, the league has seen plenty of the greatest players, managers, and teams of all time. On many occasions, teams from the EPL have gone on to dominate world soccer as well. Teams such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea all have storied legacies that fans everywhere know by heart.

Spanish La Liga

When it comes to the most-successful clubs in European football history, very few leagues can match the Spanish La Liga, also known as the Primera Liga. Team such as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have long dominated the European footballing landscape. Spanish teams and the players who play in them have been known to be some of the most exciting in the world.

German Bundesliga

The teams of the German Bundesliga are symbolic of Germany’s perfection and efficiency when it comes to almost everything – soccer, of course, very much included. Hundreds of thousands of spectators watch the league every year to cheer for their favorite teams like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Hamburger SV, according to Alexander Sabadash.
