In the urban setting, teen mentors delivered technology training across diverse neighborhoods. Youth leaders conducted workshops at libraries, community centers, and senior facilities. The program helped residents learn digital skills for job searching and accessing internet services. Classes were offered to serve all community members.
Rachel and Asher took charge of an exciting event in the Pinal County Tech Changemakers session. At the Maricopa Agricultural Center, the mission is to show the potential of drone technology. Five eager participants with different backgrounds were part of the interactive demonstration and hands-on activites, from basic control to maneuvering techniques. Rachel and Asher emphasized on the importance of responsible and ethical dron usage, highlighting the need to stick to regulations and guidelines to ensure safe and respectful drone operation in the community.
In the town of Casa Grade, the local 4-H club hosted a captivating digital marketing club. With anticipation, nine participants, Aurora guided her students through presentations and hands-on exercises. The students learn to navigate online advertising, and explore how to target audiences, content creation, and conversion optimization.
The 4-H Tech Changemakers program on the San Carlos Apache Reservation made significant impact through collaboration with community organizations. Youth mentors worked alongside the Tribal Council, San Carlos Apache College, and local businesses to deliver practical technology training. The program's partnerships with the Education Department and workforce development programs helped create workshops focused on job skills and economic opportunity, while special sessions for elders focused on connecting with family and accessing important online services.
The 4-H Tech Changemakers in Santa Cruz County made significant strides in digital literacy through unique international collaboration. Teen leaders partnered with the Mexican Consulate to deliver bilingual technology training that reached families on both sides of the border. Through this cooperative effort, youth instructors worked alongside consulate staff to provide digital skills workshops that strengthened cross-border community ties.
