Introducing an innovative new 4-H opportunity - the Greenhouse Sustainable Energy Engineering Design (SEED) Project! This hands-on, problem-based learning experience allows students to delve into environmental design, green energy, and engineering fundamentals while building their scale model greenhouse. Over 60 hours and 10 weeks, participants will gain exposure to 3D modeling, architectural drafting, electrical circuitry, solar power, wind energy, water harvesting, and more. Students will apply math, science, and engineering principles through practical building challenges and collaborations with peers across Arizona virtually or in person.
The multidisciplinary 4-H Greenhouse SEED Project integrates diverse perspectives while cultivating critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration competencies. Youth will emerge with an advanced understanding of renewable energy applications from both technological and social impact lenses. Thanks to support from the AZ 4-H Youth Foundation, this enriching project will soon be available for students in all 15 Arizona counties as well as 5 tribal communities. The program aims to spark passion for STEM fields while unveiling promising pathways to driving sustainable change. Join the Greenhouse SEED Project today to grow your engineering talents and environmental leadership - our communities and planet need innovative problem-solvers like you!
