Most Outstanding Multi-Class Sportsperson
After a phenomenal year of sporting success last year, culminating in her being awarded the Gary McSweeney award at the 2024 CSNSW Sports Awards, Sienna has gone from strength to strength with phenomenal results in the pool, on the course and on the track in 2025.
At NSWPSSA swimming, Sienna’s leadership was on show, being nominated as team captain, representing Polding and Catholic Schools NSW with pride! Sienna rose to the occasion to take out gold in the Senior Girls 50 and 100m freestyle, as well as 50m backstroke, 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly!
Sienna’s swimming season culminated at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in Ballarat, where she denominated in the pool, taking out the 10-12 Years Multi-Class national championship in all twelve events that she participated in, including all individual events across the 50m and 100m in each of the strokes, as well as the 200m freestyle and individual medley! Further to this, both multi-class relay teams that she was involved in broke School Sport Australia records!
Out of the pool, Sienna had a strong Cross Country season, taking the silver medal at in the 12/13 Years Girls event at NSW All Schools Cross Country Girls Multi-class event, before baking this up a at the School Sport Australia Championships on the Gold Coast with a bronze in the 12 Years Girls Multi-class Individual event, a gold in the 12 Years Girls Multi-class teams event and a gold in the 10-12 Years Girls multi-class relay.
Not to be outdone, Sienna’s results on the track were equally impressive, making her a real triple threat! Sienna won five gold at Polding Athletics across a diverse array of events, including the 100m, 200m, 800m, shotput and long jump! Sienna went on to take at the Bronze in the 11-13 Years 800m Multi-class event to qualify for the PSSA team, where she represented NSW at the School Sport Australia Track & Field Championships in Canberra over the weekend!
Sienna exemplifies versatility, grit and ability to work hard across multiple fields and her awarding of back-to-back -Gary McSweeney awards is a real reward for her perseverance.
