Brendon is recognised for more than four decades of exceptional service to sport, education and the development of young athletes across New South Wales and Australia. He began his teaching career at Patrician Brothers’ College, Fairfield as a casual teacher in 1998 moving into a full-time role in 1999. Since then he has served with distinction as a PDHPE, VET Fitness and VET Sports Coaching teacher. For more than 23 years, Brendan has been a driving force in school sport as both Internal and External Sport Coordinator, shaping countless opportunities for students.
Brendon’s coaching legacy in baseball is outstanding. Over 23 years, he has led as NSWCCC Baseball Coach, NSW All Schools Assistant Coach, and served a decade as School Sport Australia Assistant Coach. His commitment has taken him around the world representing Australia in South Africa, Canada and the USA.
His achievements include guiding NSWCCC to its first-ever victory over CHS in 2002, leading NSWCCC to its inaugural NSW All Schools Championship in 2024, and backing this up with consecutive All Schools Tournament Championships in 2024 and 2025. Brendon has been instrumental in establishing NSW as the most successful state in SSA Baseball history, contributing to an extraordinary 13 national titles. His influence extends far beyond results, having mentored more than 550 students through the school baseball pathway and significantly increasing the number of NSWCCC athletes progressing to elite programs.
Brendon’s contribution beyond school sport is equally significant, with 40 years of club and district coaching, service to NSW Junior and NSWIS programs, and international experience including coaching at the 2017 Little League World Series. His dedication has been formally recognised through the SSA Service Award in 2013.
Through his leadership, passion and selfless commitment, Brendon Wallace has made a profound and lasting impact on NSWCCC sport and on the growth of baseball across Australia. His service stands as a testament to his belief in young people and his unwavering pursuit of excellence.
