🔑 Accessing Your District Gmail Account

Follow these steps to sign in and get familiar with Gmail’s main features:

Open Your Web Browser
Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for the best performance.
Go to Gmail
Navigate to mail.google.com.
Log In
Sign in using your district Google account (your-account@vacavilleusd.org) — not your personal Gmail account.
Locate Important Icons
In the upper-right corner, you’ll find:

✏️ Personalize Your Gmail Window

Gmail’s default interface is clean but basic. You can easily personalize it to suit your workflow and visual preferences.

✅ Customize Your View:

Access Settings: Click the ⚙️ Gear icon in the top-right corner.
Choose Display Density: Adjust how compact or spacious your inbox appears.
Select a Theme: Browse themes to add color or background images.
Enable Reading Pane: Turn on the reading pane for a split-screen view of your messages.

Feel free to experiment with different settings until you find what feels right for you.

📘 Conversation View (Threaded Emails):
At the bottom of the Quick Settings panel, you can toggle “Conversation View.”
Turning this off separates each email instead of grouping them into threads—a personal preference that can make messages easier to track.
