You can use Confidential Mode to securely share a form containing student information or other sensitive district documents.
⚠️ Important Notes
The email’s contents are stored securely and access expires automatically based on your settings.
Recipients cannot forward, copy, print, or download confidential messages.
Once sent, you can revoke access at any time by opening the email in your Sent folder and clicking Remove access.
In Gmail, click Compose to start a new email.
At the bottom of the message window, click the Lock & Clock icon 🔒🕒 (Confidential mode).
In the pop-up window, choose your settings:
Set Expiration Date: Choose when the message will expire (e.g., 1 day, 1 week, 1 month).
Require Passcode:
No SMS passcode: Recipients using Gmail will open it directly.
SMS passcode: Recipients will receive a text message with a code to access the email.
If you select SMS passcode, enter the recipient’s cell phone number when prompted.
Click Save, finish your email, and click Send.
💬 Pro Tip: Always verify the recipient’s phone number before using SMS verification—if the number is incorrect, they won’t be able to open your email.
