Design Pre-thesis 3 | Sustainable Technologies

Urban Heat Island crisis have widely affecting the building thermal comfort and indoor environmental quality especially in hot-humid climate. There several factors that contributes to the Urban Heat Island increment, one of it is the lack of vegetation in urban setting. Vertical Greenery System is a green technology approach which can benefits the human thermal comfort of a building. This pre-thesis aim to study the advantage of Vertical Greenery System towards heat reduction in building. The project proposed a Universiti Kuala Lumpur (uniKL) Students Centre along Jalan Raja Abdullah which connected to the UniKL Bandar Wawasan (330 meter in distance). The building facilitates with Market Square, Recreation Facilities and Eco-Library.
