Design Thesis | Selection: Urbanism
Kampong Baru has experienced physical discontinuity on most of its context along Sungai Klang from the city centre resulted by the elevated highway, AKLEH. This urban structure has become a passive city edge to Kampong Baru. The issue has indirectly affected the connectivity of Kampong Baru which lead to this study. Good connectivity can be a good potential for the expansion of Kampong Baru traditional food network. Taking advantage from this passive city edge, a study and analysis on the connectivity
and accessibility using Space Syntax: Axial Line Analysis and Visual Graph Analysis has been done towards an integrated food related development with the elevated highway by sharing its high connectivity and accessibility advantages.
