The UST Journalism Society is the official academic organization of journalism students in the Faculty of Arts and Letters. The Society is committed to upholding the right to free expression, and its members are resolute in their efforts to safeguard the freedom of the press. It also acknowledges that factual, impartial, and balanced journalism is fundamental to Philippine democracy and the principle of self-government.


Under the guidance of the Church and her teachings on social communication, the Society aspires to foster and inspire successive generations of inquisitive students to become ethical, competent, committed, and compassionate journalists through its events and programs. In addition, it endeavors to promote news literacy through community development, with the ultimate goal of producing educated and engaged citizens.
