For nearly five decades, the UST–Communication Arts Students’ Association (UST-CASA)—the officially recognized organization of Communication students of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas-Manila, the Catholic University of the Philippines, and the biggest academic society in the Faculty of Arts and Letters—has been serving the university and the nation in the practice of communication as an art, a science, and a service to the community. The Communication program and its organization projects and events in the past have consistently won and received awards and recognitions from respected organizations like the Philippine Student Quill awards sponsored by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippine chapter which contributed to the honor of UST in being recognized as School of the Year for seven straight years. Internally, it received the Benavides Outstanding Achievement award for five consecutive years from 2017-2022 and was given the Tradition of Excellence Award by the University of Santo Tomas.
