The Faculty of Arts and Letters – Commission on Elections (AB COMELEC) is the sole regulatory body in the Faculty of Arts and Letters which aims to promote fair, honest, and clean campaigns and elections among student assemblage. It is vested with the power of promulgating and administering the rules and regulations of the University Student’s Election Code of 2011 (USEC).
The main goal of the Commission is to provide the Artlet Community an avenue for the proper conduct of the election process, where the rights of all is respected. It serves as the symbol for democracy within the Faculty of Arts and Letters, ensuring that above all else, fairness and honesty comes first. Aside from the elections itself, the Commission is also a quasi-judicial entity, deciding upon matters that concern students with their organization leaders and their ability to lead. AB COMELEC shall maintain a standard of neutrality, without discretion to exploit the mandate granted to the Commission by the Election Code.
The Commission invites students that are interested to join the AB COMELEC family in this fruitful academic year. Those who wish to become COMELEC Deputies will be able to experience working with various tasks that include but are not limited to: legal, secretariat, management, and communications.
