PAX initiatives are pivotal to raising funds for projects that directly impact students. Over the last few years, PAX raised funds to purchase the gym floor covering to allow for expanded community events. Recently, we have directed our funds raised over the past year to help develop the property adjacent to Urban Academy to be a wonderful outdoor play and learning space for all ages.

We're excited to announce our last Bake Sale of the school year!
Get ready for a delicious treat as PAX hosts the sale on Wednesday, May 13th, from 2:45 to 3:45 PM.
Stop by our table, conveniently located outside the school's main entrance during after-school pickup, to grab a delicious, homemade baked good.
Treats will be wonderfully priced between $2 and $4, and please remember that this is a cash-only sale.
We can't wait to see you there and share some sweets!

Back by popular demand! Following a successful fall, PAX is excited to host the Neufeld Farms Fundraiser.
Stock up on premium frozen meats, appetizers, easy meals, and desserts. Use this custom UA link to order, and feel free to share this link with family and friends.
Important dates:
Order deadline: Monday, May 11
Pickup: Tuesday, May 19 from 2:30-3:00 PM (beside the UA Activity Bus)
All orders must be collected during the pickup window as items are frozen - no exceptions. Order as much as you would like as we will help carry items to your car!

The Spring Session menu is back! The next ordering deadline is this Sunday, May 3 at 11:59pm with Subway on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Please log into MunchaLunch to place your oders.

If a student is absent on a hot lunch day, please notify hotlunch@urbanacademy.ca. While orders can not be cancelled or credited after the stated cut off times, they can be left at the front desk for parents to pick up between 12:30-1:30pm.
*Reminder: Please pack any required Utensils for hot lunch items. To ensure our program will be sustainable we request reusable items from home to be sent in.

Do you have uniform pieces at home that your child outgrew over the summer?
A reminder that a grey uniform donation bin is now located inside the school between the parkade entrance and the gym doors.
If you have a donation to drop off in the morning, please have your students walk in with the items and place them in the cart at drop off as needed, or park your car (adhering to parking restrictions and being respectful of our neighbours) and walk to the roundabout to donate; we kindly request that you do not drop off items in the office.
Thank you to all parents who have already donated clothing and supported this PAX initiative. Our goal is to reclaim and reuse as many uniform pieces as we can to reduce our collective waste.

The Used Uniform Team is back in action, and both the Used Uniform Store (UUS) and the Spirit Wear & Gear Store (SWAG) are now open!
The Used Uniform Store team has been busy! They have added over 150 items into inventory. Check out the new gently used items.
After purchase, our volunteer team will prepare items within 5 business days for a convenient pick-up at the school office.
Reminder: Students may wear spirit wear pieces on Fridays for Spirit Day along with their other ISW uniform items.

UA's Parent Auxiliary (PAX) collaborates with school leadership to plan and deliver meaningful and memorable events and initiatives. PAX has a busy and exciting calendar of events, initiatives and fundraisers for the 2024-2025 school year, and openly invites UA parents to support the growth and success of UA…and earn those annual volunteer hours!
