3D Printing

There are many types of 3D printers FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) is one of the most common and what we use here at UNIS

We will look at taking your Model from OnShape (as an STL file) loading it into FlashPrint, adjusting settings and saving to an SD card ready for printing :)

For BYOD computers (gr 9-12)

Install and setup FlashPrint from your computer by clicking on the appropriate image to the right (MAC or WIN)
NOTE When prompted to UPDATE select NO

Download file from OnShape

You will have to save your part/model as an STL file for Flash Print to recognize it as a part for 3D printing

If you DON'T have FlashPrint installed

Select the appropriate file for YOUR operating system (Mac, Win etc)

After running through the above screen-cast instructions, ask your teacher to demonstrate how to run the printer
