In this session you will learn the basics of Generative AI and some of its limitations. We will consider the ethics of Gen AI and how it can work for us as instructors and students.
Barb Billington is an Education Program Specialist, she provides programming and consulting with units in various STEM fields on the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses, with expertise in designing curriculum and learning environments that aspire to reach and teach all students. She earned her B.A. in Biology from Carleton College, and an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Science Education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Mary Jetter is an Education Program Specialist who has been with CEI since 1999. Mary wears a number of hats at the Center. She has provided leadership and facilitation for many of CEI's programs and initiatives, including AI and student well-being. Mary holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Central College and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Northern Iowa.
