The UN declared a critical challenge, reaching Net-Zero emissions by 2050. However, due to high complexity, greenwashing, and subpar product performance, consumers face difficulty channeling their environmental values effectively in the marketplace. The strategic position of this research implements a near-term Net-Zero emissions insetting framework where growers of agricultural and forest products will allocate their carbon and renewable energy credits to commodities leaving their farms/land, enabling supply chain co-investment that offsets the entire industry’s emissions holistically.
