Career Coaching

As a career coach, I build relationships with students as they develop, pursue, and achieve their own career goals. As a first generation college student, I found exploration and career development difficult, so my hope is that every student leaves a conversation with me feeling supported and more confident in their next steps. I love celebrating accomplishments (big and small) with students! 

In my free time I'm probably reading, listening to Taylor Swift, hanging out with my dog, solving a puzzle on the NYT Games app, attempting to teach myself a creative hobby, or catching up with friends. 

There is nothing I love more in my career than helping students discover their strengths and create plans for professional development. I see every appointment, every class, and every event as an opportunity to help you learn more about yourself, see what you are capable of, and ideate and achieve your goals. My goal in each interaction is to help you discover that you are in control of your career journey, and I’m here to help you with the tools and resources you need to be successful!

In my free time, you can find me taking long walks with my friends and my dog, traveling, and trying out different fitness studios across the Twin Cities. 

As a career coach my goal is to support students with navigating and overcoming barriers in their career development journey. My favorite coaching appointments are on topics that may seem challenging or intimidating, such as offer evaluation and negotiation, interviewing, and networking.

I am the first in my family to attend college and earn both a bachelor's and master's degree. As an undergraduate, I studied Psychology, then completed my grad program in Counseling and Student Personnel with an emphasis in College Student Affairs; which I tell people is a long title for working with college students. During grad school I really enjoyed my Career Development and Counseling courses, and I completed an internship working as a Career Advisor in our Career Center. These experiences led to my career interest in working in Career Services. My specialty area focuses on students who are exploring their own career interests and I look forward to helping students choose a career path and/or major they feel confident about. 

In my free time I enjoy cooking, dancing, game nights, brunching, and traveling with friends!

As a career professional in higher education, it's a necessity to build solid relationships with students in everything I do from teaching, to 1:1 appointments, to programming. I want to learn what it is students need to be successful in their industries and on their career paths so I can help them gain access to resources and information to help them get there. I meet students wherever they are at in their journey and work alongside them in their career exploration, preparation, transitions, and everything else along the way. I love my job. Witnessing students go through and grow through their career development journey is simply the coolest and most exciting thing.

In my free time I like to be active doing anything outdoors including biking, hiking, and enjoying the lake (both frozen and not). I love almost all sports both as a spectator and competitor. I recently (July 2024) completed my motorcycle course and look forward to putting on some miles! 

I get excited whenever I have the opportunity to problem solve with students, big or small! I became a career coach because meeting with students to discuss their future has always energized me. I enjoy working with students to set goals that help them take action whether they are looking to get a resume checked out, trying to navigate an internship/job search, or are contemplating big questions like “What am I going to do with my life?” My hope is that students leave an appointment feeling like they have some idea of what comes next and know that they have a strong support system here at the Carlson School. 

When I am not at work I love to find ways to enjoy nature through lake days, hammocking, camping, or just sitting and enjoying the outdoors. I try to bring a bit of nature indoors through my growing plant collection! I also enjoy cooking and baking, I frequently try out my new recipes on friends, family, and coworkers! 

One of the things I love most about working with students is seeing them grow and develop into confident individuals. I approach much of my work with students as a partnership where I am learning from them just as much as they are learning from me.

 Before becoming a career coach, I suppported students who were first generation in navigating the college and career process. I became a career coach because I was a first-generation college graduate who struggled with navigating the career development process, but was fortunate to have counselors and mentors who guided me through the process. My goal is to continue supporting students with overcoming barriers and navigating institutional systems while providing space for students to show up authenticly throughout their career development process.

In my free time, you can find me crocheting, cross-stiching, traveling and decluttering junk throughout my house.  

My name is Sash Anand, and I am a senior majoring in Finance with a Business Analytics minor. This past summer, I worked as a Strategy Consulting Associate Intern at ZS Associates, leading market research and strategic analysis on an agentic AI transformation engagement for a pharmaceutical client, and building client-facing deliverables presented to senior stakeholders. Previously, I was a Finance Intern at Medtronic, and gained further experience at Mashalot AI through the DELUXE program in go-to-market strategy. On campus, I'm excited to be a Peer Career Coach this year, helping students prep for interviews and consulting case interviews. Outside of work, I love basketball, going to the gym, and hiking!

My name is Zach Groh and I am a Senior majoring in Management Information Systems and Marketing. This past summer I interned as a Data Analytics & AI intern at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, NC working in Corporate and Investment Banking.  I previously interned as as an Enterprise Shared Services Analyst Intern at Optum, United Health Group working on the Performance Guarantee team to create a machine learning predictive model and dashboard. I love to travel, run, go to sporting events, and explore the city and outdoors with friends. I am excited to make new connections and help students along their career journeys. 

My name is Morgan Hoernke, and I am a Junior majoring in Marketing with a minor in Digital Media Studies. This past summer, I interned as a Sales Strategy and Data Analytics Intern for Amplifon working on data performance. I have also completed internships with Chartwells, Wausau River District, and Swiderski Equipment, where I gained experience across a variety of marketing roles and projects. On campus, I am also involved at the Center for Sales and Leadership Education, where I serve as president and compete on the sales team. Outside of school, I love thrifting, hiking, going to concerts, and painting! I look forward to helping others grow in their professional journeys, connecting with my peers, and sharing what I’ve learned through my internships and experiences while continuing to learn from those around me. 

My name is Kseniya Hnetsko and I am a senior double majoring in Accounting and Business Analytics with a minor in Business Law. I am currently a Vice President of Pledge Education at Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity, where I also held two leadership positions as VP Sponsorship and VP Community Service in the past. Sophomore year spring semester I interned at Small Lot mid-size company as a market analyst through DELUXE program. During this summer of 2026 I interned at CHS Inc. as a Finance Strategy Intern. In my free time, I love traveling, yoga, pilates, and trying out new things with friends. As a PCC, I am excited to develop strong connections with students to assist them in achieving all their career goals!  

My name is Greta Liner and I am a senior double majoring in Finance and Accounting with minors in Mathematics and Leadership. I currently lead the Carlson Investment Banking Network and am a VP of Curriculum and Career Development on Business Board. Last summer, I was an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Rothschild & Co. in New York City, where I will be returning full-time in 2027. In my free time, I enjoy live music, running, women’s soccer and Hans Zimmer scores. As a PCC, I am excited to connect with students one-on-one and help them navigate their path toward career success! 

My name is Sylvan Nguyen. I am a Junior double majoring in Finance and Management Information Systems (MIS). I recently concluded my internship at Cambria as a Sales Technology Productivity Intern, where I worked on technology enablement, CRM implementation, and AI integration! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, cooking, listening to EDM music, playing the guitar, and staying active. As a Peer Career Coach, I’m looking forward to supporting fellow peers in their professional development and also both learning and sharing my experiences!

My name is Janae Perry, I am currently a Junior majoring in MIS and Finance with a minor in Business Analytics and Spanish. I currently serve as Vice President  on the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) board. This past summer I interned at Best Buy as a Reverse Secondary Markets Intern where I supported teams with supply chain and analytics management. I currently hold many roles on campus including: Carlson Crew Teaching Assistant, Carlson Ambasador, Community Advisor for the Women's Business Network LLC at 17th Ave. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, dancing, traveling and being in nature. I am excited to be a resource to others and help students grow professionally and personally! 

My name is Mira Ratrout, and I am a Senior majoring in Accounting. This past summer, I interned at PwC, where I gained experience in financial audit and worked across a variety of client projects. This past Spring, I was a busy season audit intern at Baker Tilly where I audit the year-end financials for various clients. Prior to that, I also interned at Deloitte in IT Audit and Assurance. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. As a Peer Career Coach, I look forward to helping students feel more confident as they explore opportunities, and make decisions about their own career journeys. 

My name is Reagan Rushing, and I am a senior double majoring in Marketing and Strategic Communications. I recently completed my summer internship with Post Consumer Brands on their eCommerce team. The previous summer, I was a Project Management intern at Colle McVoy, a full-service ad agency. I’ve also gained startup experience with Chopper Mill and Mashalot AI through the DELUXE program. On campus, I’ve held multiple leadership roles in Delta Sigma Pi and have spent the past four years as a Marketing Communications and Project Management Intern for the Office for Student Affairs. In my free time I enjoy running, traveling, thrifting, and trying new coffee shops! As a Peer Career Coach I’m excited to provide individual career support to help Carlson students reach their professional goals!
