Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a tool similar to Zoom and Google Meet, under the Office 365 banner.  It offers videoconferencing tools, in addition to chat and file collaboration. 

Microsoft Teams are managed via MCommunity Groups.  Learn more here.

Requires a Level-1 Password to login, but can be used for non-UM attendees also.  Michigan Medicine has its own Office365 and Teams Environments.  Refer to HITS documentation for more information.

Note:

The new Teams Desktop Experience will become standard on March 31, 2024.  After this date, you cannot switch back to the Classic Teams experience.

ITS recommends that we use the Desktop Client.  SSC laptops are MiWorkspance Managed, so the desktop client should be available in the Software Center for you to download and install, if you choose.  Alternative, you can use the web client.
