Greenshot is available in the Software Center - and should be installed from there. Please do not attempt to download from the website.
There is no login page listed at right, as this is a system-based software tool, and not a web-based tool. You would access this from the Start Menu or from a desktop shortcut on your local machine.
Greenshot can capture a whole webpage - with Snipping Tool, you are limited to what you can see on your screen
Greenshot can capture a screenshot and upload directly into certain Applications, like MS Word and MS Powerpoint
Greenshot has an in-house image editor, so you can take a screenshot and open it in that editor to do basic annotations like adding text, a red box, etc. With Snipping Tool, you would have to use an image editor to make these kinds of annotations.
Greenshot allows you to capture hover and pop-open windows in an application or webpage - You can do the same thing with Snipping Tool, but you need to have it open already, and use the command ALT + N to initiate the capture process
Snipping Tool is not supported on Mac
Snipping Tool offers a "delay" feature and easy access to 4 modes
Greenshot does have more features and preferences that can be set, including setting the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard to automatically activate the capture region tool. Access these through the app tray icon in your Windows Taskbar.
