The Senate has 11 positions, therefore the 11 candidates who receive the most votes will take office.
The role of the SGA Senate is as follows:
- With other SGA members, develops and implements initiatives to improve the education and experience of UMBC students
- Participates in discussions and decision-making
- Connects with students
- Attends weekly Senate meetings
