Prior to this class my drawing experience was very limited. I had only used charcoal and had only drawn objects and animals. I was a little bit nervous when starting this class knowing that we would mainly be drawing human figures and would be using digital tools to draw. As you can see when I started drawing human figures my proportions were completely off and I lacked the basic human figure. This drawing was done using analog tools as I was too afraid to venture into using digital tools.
I really learned a lot in this class! Although I do not have it completely down I am getting close to nailing down the general model and am really happy with the progress I made. Although this specific drawing does not show it, something else I worked on was adding tone in my drawings. Adding tone is such an important part in adding depth to your drawing so I will continue to work on it!. I am also very proud of myself for switching to using digital tools. This is something I thought I would not be able to do but, I actually really ended up enjoying the process and will continue to use this in future projects.
Motion drawing was also something very new to me. I did not think I would be able to make one this quarter because I was focused on the general model, but I decided to try one out quickly from 3 drawings that were similar. After seeing how it turned out I'm really looking forward to seriously making one that has more flow between the images.
Collaborative drawing was also very new to me but I surprisingly had a lot of fun working with my classmates. It was a lot of fun to see what everyone created and how they used my drawings. As well as a fun challenge to my creativity and storytelling.
