STATEMENT

Hello, my name is Cassidy Crawford. I am a third year art student at UCSC. Throught my first quater, at my new transfer university, I have been able to further my figure drawing skills and character development. My artist goal for this course was to gain a better understanding of the human figure, focus on the general model, capture emotion through gesture, and be able to tell a visual story. please enjoy my artist page where you'll see my figure drawing progression.

BEFORE

Here youll see a early general sketches I referenced in later work. At the begining of this coure getting the gesture was my focuse and capturing more fluid poses.

AFTER

Here youll find the progession of a character I enjoyed creating the most. it was a character I developed the most.

MOTION DRAWING

Studying the general model was a challenge I faced throughout the course. My motion work focused on the various angles of the body while in less likely positions.

COLLABORATIVE DRAWING

Utilizing fellow classmates fantasic characters and background I created a collabrative composition on jam board.
