Jin Yan is a Ph.D. student in Physics at the University of California, Irvine, working in Professor Howard Lee’s Nano-Optics Laboratory.  At UCI, Jin’s research focuses on developing meta-optical fiber platforms that integrate metasurfaces, active materials, and 3D nanoprinting to enable dynamic control of light for applications in imaging, sensing, communication, and quantum photonics.
Before UCI, He earned his bachelor’s degree in Opto-Electronic Information Science and Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, where he began conducting research on polarization dependent metalenses and wavefront shaping.
