Phillip Wang is a first-year undergraduate student at UC Irvine studying Electrical Engineering with a specialization in semiconductors and optoelectronics. Nano-optics piqued Phillip's interest in his first quarter at UC Irvine when Professor Lee mentioned his research. Although new to the realm of nano-optics, he is quite passionate about physics and learning new things. Phillip hopes to gain plenty of hands-on, lab experience through this research and learn more about physics. Outside of academics, Phillip enjoys playing the violin in the UCI Symphony Orchestra and playing volleyball with friends.
