David Dang completed his bachelor of science (B. Sc) degree in physics at the University of California Los Angeles, where he conducted undergraduate research in accelerator physics with Professor Pietro Musumeci. Additionally, David conducted plasma physics research with Professor Franklin Dollar at UC Irvine and gained an interest in using machine learning for physics applications and research.

Now as a Ph D. student, he is currently working with Professor Lee in designing nano-photonic structures with neural networks and is interested in understanding more about plasmonics. He hopes to use his skills as a researcher to pursue a career in the semiconductor industry.
