Yucheng Jin is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics at UC Irvine, having obtained a B.S. from the same institution in 2022. Throughout his undergraduate years, Jin dedicated his focus to the advancement of lithium-ion battery technology, specifically in the domains of high-energy cathodes and solid-state electrolytes.

His versatile approach to scientific exploration naturally guides Jin through a transition from the realm of energy storage research to the fascinating field of optical sciences. He is currently delving into the intricacies of nano-optics, placing a particular emphasis on the integration of optical metasurfaces onto fibers.
