Jeff Chen is a third-year international undergraduate student majoring in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, from Guiyang, China. He developed a strong interest in materials science during high school and published a review paper on graphene-based materials. 

  His current research interest focuses on functional materials, electrochemistry, and thin film fabrication. He is particularly interested in the relationship between material composition, microstructure, and electrochemical properties, and the potential applications of these relationships in functional optical materials and thin-film characterization.
