The professional athlete used his legs and pushed hard off of it when doing the triple jump. I pushed off of my legs hard as well and made a little bit of distance. The professional athlete while jumping swung his arms up to gain a little speed and altitude. When I was doing the triple jump, I also swung my arms up to gain speed and altitude but still need to work on it.
The professional athlete when doing the triple jump had a running start and ran with all his speed. I also ran but not to my fullest, that limited my jumping range. The professional athlete when jumping spread his legs wide to jump further and landed a little further then where he should’ve landed. I also spread my legs but made my legs go closer as I landed which made my triple jump not go as far.
Two things I did well was the “on your mark” and “get set” skill cues just like the athlete who did the skill cues himself. My fingers were behind the “line” like the athlete who did the”on your mark” skill cue. The athlete raised his body during the “get set” skill cue in the video just like I did, too.
I need to work on the sprinting. I did not move my hands the way I was supposed to, but the athlete did the sprint perfectly by moving the hands in a straight motion in the video. The athlete was bent low during the first four to five steps in the video, but I didn’t do this. I need to work on these two things and I will be great in the sprint start.
When i watched the video and compared it to mine i seen that we both jogged and hopped right. The first thing i did well on the video was trying to switch my right leg to my left leg . the second thing i did well or we did was keeping our balance while putting all our weight on one foot while running on it.
When i watched the video The guy in it ran faster than me, hopped higher, and landed on his feet.the thing i need to work on to get better on this assignment is running faster like starting to run then having to change to hopping. . The second thing i need to work on is switching to my left leg than pushing up to land on both feet for my first try.
