Dialog Box
This list gives an overview of all defined roads.
Find it here:
MOUS_ICO Menu: Noise > Roads and railroads > Dialog box
or
nco: Select a road (defined in Novapoint Noise)
MOUS_ICO Popup menu: Dialog box
For each road, the following is shown: identity, the road's starting profile, the road's length, whether we have entered feature/group codes in the dialog box Terrain Model Codes, and whether the road is active or passive.
In this list, there may be selected more than one road at a time for the functions Delete, Active and Passive. If you wish to enter traffic data, terrain model codes, define/change gradient or change the road, only one road can be selected.
Object handling
New road/railroad - The dialog box New road/railroad appears (see New). When there is no previously defined road, we are “forced” to select New road/railroad since all other buttons are greyed out.
Change - The dialog box Change road appears (see New).
Traffic data - The dialog box Traffic Data appears (see Traffic Data).
Gradients - The dialog box Define gradients appears (see Gradient).
TMOD codes - The dialog box TMOD codes on/off appear (see Terrain Model Codes).
Delete - The dialog box Delete road appears (see Delete).
Active - Sets the selected road(s) active. Only active roads are included in the calculation.
Passiv - Sets the selected road(s) passive. Passive roads are not included in the calculation.
Show selection < - All dialog boxes are closed, and all roads selected in the list are highlighted in red on the screen. The roads also get a red, bounding box. We get back to the dialog by pressing <Enter> or <Esc>.
Window handling
+ The height of the window in the dialog box showing the list of roads/railroads is increased.
- The height of the window in the dialog box showing the list of roads/railroads is decreased.
Status
Number - states the total number of roads defined in Novapoint Noise.
In list - the number of roads in the filtered list.
Selected - tells how many of the roads in the (filtered) list are selected.
Selection
Select all - All roads are selected.
Invert - All roads that are not selected are selected, and vice versa.
Reset - All selections are canceled.
From screen < - All dialog boxes are closed, and we may select one or more roads by selecting them in the drawing. We get back to the dialog box by pressing <Enter>. The roads that are selected from the map will now be selected in the list.
AutoCAD does not allow more than 255 lines in a list to be selected at a time. If more than 255 objects are selected, a message will appear at the bottom of the screen, that the list cannot be used directly. This means that more than 255 objects cannot be selected by clicking the list and that the functions Select All, Invert, Reset, and/or From screen have to be applied when more than 255 objects are to be selected. We cannot see from the list which objects are selected, but Selected will show the number, and the functions for the relevant objects do work!
Filter
In the box Filter, we select which roads are to be shown in the list.
Status - We may choose whether only active roads, only passive roads, or both active and passive roads are to be shown.
Identity - We may filter by identity, by entering certain names. The filtering follows the same rules as in AutoCAD in general (see Wildcard Characters in AutoCAD's help file).
Example:
“KV*” - all objects with identity starting with “KV”, not regarding the rest of the name
“EV???6*” - all objects with identity having exactly three characters between “EV” and “6”, e.g.: “EV00060001”, “EV00160123”, “EV98765432”, but not “EV00050001”.
Misc.
OK - The dialog box is closed.
