Does the portal track my progress?
Unfortunately, our portal does not have the capacity to track your progression. However, we recommend using our Onboarding Checklist to monitor your progression!
Do I need to view the content in order?
We do suggest that you engage with the onboarding content in the order that it is given through the portal. The five phases as well as the tasks within them are scaffolded to ensure you receive content when it will be most helpful and impactful for you! If you have ideas on adjustments to the order of programming please utilize the feedback surveys at the end of each phase.
If I am confused about onboarding content who can I reach out to?
Your first point of contact through onboarding should always be your manager! They are here to support you throughout the onboarding process. However, your manager might point you in the direction of someone more specialized in the content of your specific question. If you are identifying glitches within the site itself please utilize the ticketing system.
Does this onboarding process really take a year??
Yes! But that might look different than you think. Although we believe fully onboarding takes about a year, this does not mean you will be engaging with new learning and reading onboarding materials for a year! What this does mean is that you will have an opportunity to get out in the field, do ride-alongs, shadow, set personal and professional goals, and become immersed into the culture of Transcend over time.
