Photo and video club

A Good Photograph is knowing where to stand

— Ansel Adams

Photography and videography classes are conducted by the teacher in charge, Mr James Tan throughout the year. Students are trained progressively from beginners all the way to higher skillsets. Basic skills include camera handling and the all-important “Exposure Triangle”.

Students are also tested on their skills on a regular basis. During CCA sessions, students are taught theory and then they put the theory into practice. Students are encouraged to participate in competitions to hone and develop their skills.

CAPTURING MOMENTS

In 2020, a special group of photographers was formed. This initial group was taught more advanced photographic skills to enable them to serve the school by taking better photos. They are the ones the school can rely on to provide high quality photography and videography services for all activities and events.

In 2021, as the school celebrated it's 35th Anniversary amidst the COVID pandemic, this group of photographers was called upon to take individual photos of every student to form a family mosaic.

35th Anniversary Mosaic, done by the Elite PVC photographers.

The Elite photographers have greater technical knowledge of photography and are entrusted to helm photography support for school events. Through the organization and execution of support services for the events, these photographers role model to their peers, demonstrating leadership in skills and project management. Anyone in PVC is welcome to join this team. All it takes is good attitude and commitment.
