Theatre is a powerful art form. it teaches lessons about life, society, emotion and more importantly yourself.
- ANASTASIA ROBERTS
2021 has been another challenging year for English Drama. The COVID-19 crisis swept through Singapore and brought sudden and unprecedented disruption to our CCA schedule.
Despite the challenges, we quickly adapted and conducted CCA sessions through digital platforms. And our students, informally known as the Drama INKers, learnt to be adaptable and creative in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. They eagerly took on the challenge of being exposed to several challenging projects that pushed their boundaries as performers. The projects were opportunities for them to use the skills that they have learnt to push their boundaries of the theatre-making process. They displayed courage and adaptability in the SYF 2021 AP as well as the preparation for the National Day e-concert.
THE VIRTUAL THEATRE
DRAMA 'ON AIR' BY SYFgoesonline!
Drama INKers participated in activities facilitated by Singapore Youth Festival (SYF). Our students enjoyed these engaging activities from the comforts of their home.
Our student performers picked up story-telling skills and created audio dramatisation of stories with different sound effects. Some of these productions are currently featured on Drama "On Air" by SYFgoesOnline!
