the TPSS Malay Dance group, also fondly known as Dendang Remaja, seeks to promote an appreciation and awareness of Malay culture and practices through an exhibition and exposition of dance. Our students perform at numerous school and community events such as cultural celebrations in the Tampines community, which showcase our skill and bring the community together.
PERFORMANCE IN THE COMMUNITY
On top of various forms and rhythms of Malay Dance, our dancers are exposed to the exquisite beauty of Malay culture. from it, we gain perspective and understanding. Our dancers then recreate traditional folk dances to share these cultural stories in a new way.
PERFORMING ON VIRTUAL STAGE
Virtual space is a new platform of expression for our dancers. The pandemic may have taken away the physical stage, but it can't stop the passion of our dancers! To keep on dancing, they took to the virtual stage enthusiastically.

During the recent Racial Harmony Celebrations in our school, our dancers submitted their productions for our e-concert. We are proud of their passion and efforts to perform together through video-conferencing. They will treasure these unforgettable memories.
