Badminton

A champion has to be disciplined by practicing regularly in the right manner, respect coaches and most importantly ought to have self-belief.

TPSS Badminton is where our students learn how to play the sports and compete as athletes. Through tough training, we seek to develop our players to be well-rounded athletes, physically and mentally.

Leadership, teamwork, confidence, coping with setbacks, rule-following, empathy and self-discipline are many of the soft skills that our students can hone while they train every day at the courts. These skills, once acquired, remain with our Tampinesians over the course of their personal lives, preparing them to be leaders of tomorrow.

There are many opportunities for our students to develop and grow their interest in the game, including organising and umpiring badminton matches.

PINES CUP TOURNAMENT

Our signature Pines Cup Tournament is organised by our students for Primary School players. The younger athletes get to play in a structured and friendly competition to test their skills and compete against other players. It is truly student-run, and provides an authentic setting for our students to learn organization skills and and improve their badminton umpiring skills.
