Deconstructing SRCI: TMU School of Medicine Rounds is designed to highlight the behind-the-scenes journey of scholarly work – how projects are conceived, developed, executed, and shared. Through a moderated interview with a guest researcher, we explore the processes, methods, and decision-making that underpin research.
January’s featured researcher was Vickie Baracos, Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta, and one of the world’s leading experts on cancer cachexia. Prof. Baracos discussed "Molecular subtypes of human skeletal muscle in cancer cachexia", recently published in Nature.
This in-person event was held on November 14th from 12:15pm-1:15pm for TMU learners, clinical faculty, and staff.
